Job Summary:We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as an Entry-Level Medical Billing and Coding Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately translating medical procedures into appropriate billing codes, ensuring compliance with insurance regulations, and supporting our mission to streamline healthcare billing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assigning accurate medical codes to diagnoses and procedures for billing purposes.
  • Verifying patients insurance coverage and eligibility.
  • Submitting claims to insurance companies and following up on unpaid or rejected claims.
  • Resolving billing discrepancies and reconciling accounts.
  • Maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA guidelines.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Diploma or Associate degree in Medical Billing and Coding or related field.
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
  • Proficiency in medical coding systems (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS).
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in coding and billing processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Experience:

  • Previous experience in medical billing and coding preferred but not required. Training will be provided for entry-level candidates.
