The Role

    • The Subsidy Accounts Specialist primary responsibility is to ensure that all accounts receiving a rental subsidy accurately are maintained throughout the resident life cycle. Other responsibilities include successfully meeting all established performance standards and metrics, timely and accurate completion of all assigned tasks, maintaining all documentation in accordance with AvalonBay policies and procedures, answering questions in reference to assigned accounts through phone, email and/or other correspondence, coordinating directly with all Housing Authorities and AVB on-site business partners to ensure accuracy with balance and credit inquiries, monitoring and entering data into vendor database to ensure compliance, identifying opportunities with the Subsidy Accounts process and provide feedback to Manager as well as other duties and tasks assigned by the Team Manager.

AvalonBay Communities has opened a brand-new satellite office in San Antonio This position will be a remote work-from-home role and then all associates will be on a hybrid in-office/work-from-home schedule.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Strong English verbal and written communication required.
  • Math skills required. Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
  • Strong organizational skills required. Ability to multitask.
  • Experience with data entry and excel required. Must be able to navigate between several systems simultaneously.
  • Previous remote work experience preferred.
  • Call center experience preferred.
  • A high school diploma or equivalency (GED)

Must meet minimum Internet speed requirements of 25mbps upload and download hardwired. Wifi is not allowed. These are the network requirements order to work remotely.

1-3 years of customer service experience providing above average service required.
