What you’ll do

Drive results through action-oriented initiatives and strong relationship-building skillsInnovate and creatively solve problems, taking full ownership of your projectsRepresent American Airlines in negotiations and business dealings, both internally and externallyDevelop and implement category strategies as a strategic thinker within Tech OpsTypes of initiatives that you will be responsible for supporting may include, but not be limited to: aircraft parts (purchase and aftermarket repair & overhaul (R&O) services), aircraft retrofits, ground service equipment (GSE), contract line maintenance, consulting, NDAs, and transportationManage RFP processes and contract negotiations with expertiseDevelop and draft critical service level performance guidelines that support the operation, limit/reduce financial exposure, improve effectiveness, and ensure supplier accountabilityWork closely with legal counsel to ensure the best terms and conditions for the company are achievedEnhance company value while fostering positive supplier relationshipsCollaborate with internal teams to understand their needs and integrate them into procurement processesCommunicate effectively, demonstrating emotional intelligence in all interactionsAll you’ll need for success

Minimum Qualifications-

Education & Prior Job ExperienceBachelor’s degree in relevant fieldAt least three years of related professional experience in Procurement and Strategic SourcingPreferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job ExperienceAdvanced degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related fieldProficiency in Source to Pay systemsStrong project management capabilitiesSkills in process mapping and supplier risk analysisExperience in vendor relationship managementPrevious aerospace and/or airline experienceSkills, Licenses & CertificationsProven procurement experienceProficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Leadership potential with excellent communication skillsSolid understanding of supply chain management principlesEffective negotiation and influencing abilitiesSelf-motivated and capable of managing multiple tasks with a high degree of initiativeStrong business acumen, particularly in project management and financial analysisTechnical proficiency in analytical tools for problem-solving and quality improvementEthical integrity in all business dealingsWhat you’ll get
