Progressive Technology is seeking a highly skilled and motivated DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is fully remote, allowing you to work from anywhere within the United States. As a DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for bridging the gap between software development and IT operations, ensuring efficient and seamless deployment of applications. You will collaborate closely with various teams to enhance and streamline our infrastructure and deployment processes.

DevOps Engineer (US Remote Available)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines to facilitate smooth and efficient deployment of applications.
  • Monitor and maintain the performance, availability, and security of our infrastructure and applications.
  • Automate repetitive tasks to improve operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of new features.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and application issues.
  • Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting systems.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve our DevOps practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.
  • Proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
  • Strong scripting skills in languages such as Python, Bash, or Ruby.
  • Familiarity with configuration management tools like Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a DevOps role.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure and services.
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or Splunk.
