Apprentice Lineman/Electric Journeyman Lineman

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical power systems, including overhead and underground lines.
  • Perform routine inspections of electrical lines and equipment to identify potential issues.
  • Operate and maintain tools and equipment used in electrical line work.
  • Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Respond to emergency situations, such as power outages, and work to restore service promptly.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to complete projects efficiently and effectively.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Enrollment in or completion of an accredited apprenticeship program.
  • Basic understanding of electrical systems and components.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent physical stamina and the ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
  • Valid driver license and a clean driving record.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.

Experience:

  • Prior experience in electrical work or a related field is preferred but not required.
